dreammer54
Hello. I've installed 10.5.6 from Retail disk on P5K-SE. Then updated ok to 10.5.7 and then updated to 10.5.8 following the netkas advice: i've installed disabler.kext and dsmos.kext, rebooted, installed 10.5.8 update. Everything was ok, including turn the power off when shutdown. But after that I followed the entire advice, so I've removed AppleInteCPUPowerManagement.kext. Since then, shutdown does not work properly: the source is not powered off (which remembers me the old win98 times: it is now safe to turn off the computer). I'd like to put back the AppleInyelCPUPowerManagement, but...where to find it ? I've tried to look inside the 10.5.8.pkg, but I have no idea how to do that. If I rerun 10.5.8.pkg over the existing one, could something wrong happening ? Can you help me with the shutdown power off problem ? Thank you.
