Intel D510MO motherboard with Atom D510 [failed]

I've tried to install "Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard", but it didn't work. It freezes on white screen with apple.

What should I try? Or it is impossible to use this motherboard.

Atom D510 , Intel GMA 3150 , Intel NM10 Express Chipset.

Thanks.

Depends what options you selected. Obviously it needs the Atom kernel but what other patches did you select?

No other patches was done, due to lack of experience.

I guess, I should read more forums about Atoms.

I just want to know, if it theoretically possible to make this new Atom work.

May be someone experienced succeeded...

Thanks.

I tried ideneb v1.6 OS10.5.8 but it does not even boot to installation procedures and shows error: Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. I also used retail macOS 10.5 DVD and the same error happened. Also tried different bios settings. I guess CPU is the case.

I tried with ideneb and kallaway and didn't have much luck either, it gets hung what looks like a hard drive issue.

Did you change bios settings?

I had a few problems with my upgrade on the 330 until I changed the settings. I am assuming the bios is similar. Try following the directions in the first post here http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=183637

and then read the last few pages for other info.

Try iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6, but without GMA3150 CL/QE, works good. Before installing you must activate AHCI mode for IDE in BIOS. Install it on the second partition of the Hard Drive, after that you can be enable install Snow Leopard 10.6.0 or 10.5.6-legal version directly from Hard Drive,it takes some 20 min., but it seems to me 10.5.6 works better with this motherboard.

Has anyone tried to use mechdrew's NBI method on this mobo combo? I have successfully used method #3 ( http://osx.mechdrew.com/guides/nbi3.shtml ) to install a retail 10.6 DVD onto my D945gclf, and am thinking about upgrading...

The latest NBI version 0.8.4 has GMA 3150 graphics support built in, but I don't know to what extent... ( http://www.meklort.com/ mar 6 2010 blog entry ). It should also have some 64 bit support...

I've tried methods 1 and 3 from "osx.mechdrew.com/guides". All failed.

Method 1: I've made USB boot disc, but it didn't even see USB flash as bootable device.

Method 3: bootCD starts, but freezes on some words like "cdboot loaded done" and nothing happens.

I've also tried to boot from working hackintosh disk, but it doesn't recognize the hdd as bootable media.

I've tried "iDeneb v1.4 10.5.6" but failed, the error is "immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components, use only one style". It seems to me that this motherboard needs experienced/advanced installation! I stop trying to install Hackintosh on this motherboard.

I do have the same problem, sadly :(

Tried iATKOS_v7, iDeneb 1.4, iDeneb 1.6 and Kalyway (latest).

The only symthomatics I get are the following:

"Extension "com.apple.driver.ApplePCIConfigurator" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style"

or a "waiting for uuid"

Combinations tried:

iDeneb 1.* -> PCI

iDeneb 1.* + -v cpus=1 -> PCI

iDeneb 1.* + -v -x cpus=1 -> PCI

iAKTOS v7 + -v -x cpus=1 -> PCI

Kalyway => PCI

Kalyway + modbinkernel => uuid

Kalyway + modbinkernel -v cpus=1 platform=X86PC rd=disk debug=0x100 legacy => uuid

Kalyway + modbinkernel -v -x -> PCI

Switching BIOS "AHCI"-Mode from SATA to IDE causes uuid on most of those combinations aswell.

Tried to install from a harddisk (copied ISO onto harddrive with dd under linux) and from a USB DVD Drive (HP dvd 840)

cpus=1 or 2 didn't do anything, hyperthreading was deactivated, various USB ports were tried.

I tried it with following harddrives:

SAMSUNG HD501LJ

SAMSUNG HD103UJ

WDC WD20EADS-00R6B0

WD10EADS-11M2B2

(all SATA)

 • 8 months later...

maybe a process i just used for a board i have which is just like this one might work

I am using the ION G-E which also runs on the atom 330, it also hangs at the boot if trying to install osx using it.

the process i used was to

1. get a sata/ide to usb (depends on which type your using)

2. install osx to that hard drive using a different computer that is at least able to boot into the install procedure using ##### or whatever boot device/disk you use.

3. using another mac (preferably) or hackintosh, install whatever combo update you want (only up to 10.6.6)

4. next you need to install these files to the disk using your mac/hackintosh (or pc using macdrive). this pack includes an Extra folder which is to be placed at the root of the drive, it also includes chameleon which has its own installer.

5. if you are using a mac or hackintosh you use theOSX86 Tools to install the corresponding kernel for whatever version of osx you have installed. you can find the kernel here.

6. now you reconnect the drive to your board and boot (make sure you set it to AHCI mode in the bios or else it wont boot)

i hope this helps, i will be testing this at sometime in the future cause i also own a D510MO, i just currently dont have a hard drive or memory for it. so if someone else could try it and let me know if it works.

Also please credit iba21 for the files and links

I tried this last week, it doesn't work, sorry.
