sevenlayercookie
I've installed Leopard on my Dell Inspiron 1525 laptop, it went really easily, but I had a tutorial for that specific model and all the extensions and such that I would need. Now I'm trying to install Leopard (not even going to mess with SL for now) on my custom built PC, and I have a few questions... 1. Retail or others (iPC, iAtkos, Kalyway, etc.)? I've tried Kalyway and iPC 10.5.6 (singlelayer) and no good. I didn't add anything to them, just tried the plain download and was unable to get to the installation portion of the discs. I've been hearing retail + boot-132 is the way to go now; is this true? Is it the most compatible way? 2. Should I add extensions to the retail, or other distros, and if so, how the hell do I find them? I'm pretty computer savvy, and I've done research, but I have no idea where to look for my hardware-specific extensions... Or necessarily even what to do with them once I find them. My main problem is being unable to boot into the installation; I get varying errors, usually 'waiting for root device,' and I've decided that I need extensions for my controllers, mainboard, etc. Any tips?
