I've been trying my hardest to figure this out on my own with no success. I have an Intel i945 mobo with SATA/RAID built on. When I boot into the install and go to the disk utility, only my dvd-rom shows up. My bios doesn't support backwards compatable sata drivers and i don't know how to load drivers so os x will see the drive.

I also tried installing it using vmware and using the physical hard disk option. I was able to install it to the partition but when i try to boot it says mbr error and i can't boot into the partition.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jay

I've looked but there is nothing like that. I think the bios that sony shipped with the board (i945) is crippled and doesn't have that ability. I'm trying to figure out how to install the sata (ich7 family) drivers into os x so it will see the drive. Right now i can access it through vmware only.

Well I haven't been able to check my BIOS yet, but I tinker with BIOS's a lot and I don't remember anything like that. Although I'd have to check. But I have to wait for this stupid program to compile which could take... a while.

I have a thread here about the same thing. I'm hoping someone will drop by with some brilliant solution, but so far no luck.
