Please help I'm getting a CPU panic for 10.4.5 on VMware 6.5 workstation

Host info:

AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+

Abit NF-M2SV

2048mb ddr2

Nvidia GeForce 9500 GT

No sure this is supported, i.e Tiger, not seen anything on the forums, probably need to look towards Leopard (10.5) at least. Also will need to run a non Vanilla kernel as you have an AMD processor, Apple only support Intel natively. Zenith432's Snow Kitty topic should help, if you can move to Leopard.

i am unable to post in a new thread, so am hoping i might be able to post my issues here regarding a failed OS X install onto a Workstation 6.5.0 VM?

i understand its stealing another's thread, however all attempts to post a new topic result is "permission denieds"

cheers

Jingo Man, depending what you are trying to acheive, there are more monitored topics regarding installing OS X under VM Workstation, have a look at the two links below and post your requests in whichever best suits your situation. Let me know which you have chosen and I will keep an eye open for your requests.

Cheers MSoK.

Heres an idea go make your own thread and get out of mine.

WhiteDragon, you do not mind Donk or me posting in your thread with help, so do not be so protective of your topic, others need help also, including me! LoL

Im asking for help and you and Donk are assisting me. The other guy is just to lazy to make his own topic to get his issues taken care of.

OK, OK we will just have to disagree, I am always happy and keen for all contributions to any topics I start, but I guess that is a personal thing! Keep posting in your topic if you need help and we will be here, and as you saw from my last post I have pointed Jingo to existing topics where he can find help, hopefully he will post there and everyone is happy!

Take care, here when you need us, MSoK!

P.S. Starting a new topic is not always the best solution, as trying to monitor multiple topics can be difficult, so often posting in a topic similar to what you are trying to acheive can be good, but be prepared to be "bumped" to a more relevant topic by one of the Geeks, Sages or Legends, honest they are only trying to help!

I've installed OS X 10.6 on VMware Workstation 7.0.1 and it works, but mouse pointer sometimes dissapear

Probably need to turn off the power management setting in the OS X guest, under System Preferences, Energy Saver. Otherwise if you used the wks7 zip for your darwin.iso then you could try setting the following in your .vmx.

mouse.vusb.enable = "FALSE" probably currently set to "TRUE"

Hope this helps!
