Hey everyone!

My friend's dad wants me to put OS X on his old thinkpad. It's an R61e.

Specs:

1.86GHz single-core celeron M 540 (DOES SUPPORT SSE3)

1GB RAM

80GB HDD

Intel 965 graphics

Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG

It's been forever since I installed Leopard on anything... the last was my gaming PC. I'm a bit lost as to how to get everything working.... any tips?

So I installed it.... install worked fine, CD booted fine, etc. I more or less picked what I thought would be compatible and I got the little no smoking sign over the apple logo with the spinning animation.... What did I do wrong?

Hey everyone!!!

I finally got it working.

Partition using MBR and install with NO graphics drivers at all. Check all SATA drivers. Also check Laptop Battery.

When you reboot there's a kernel panic. Use -x and it will work, enter your info, etc.

Sound and the GPU work out of the box. Resolutions, QE, CI, everything. The volume adjust buttons on the laptop even work just like the ones on real Macs!

As for the wifi, the sketchy driver is here. Use this to install them and reboot.

Have fun!

Oh, and you don't need -x after the first boot, by the way. Sound my not work until you reboot either.
