mdcwalta
I just had some very recent success with a 1525, though my sys specs are a bit different. Seems there are 400 varieties of 1525. At any rate, would be willing to assist. I don't want you to have to re-invent the wheel but I had great luck with Chameleon V2-RC4 and EFI 10.5, yet the EFI 10.4 variant worked as well. Did a retail install of 10.6 off of an external USB HDD and then upgraded to 10.6.2 right from the Apple update. I also had to muck with the DSTD to get the video working correctly. Misc Kext drop ins. Now runs like a dream. When you do either a -x -v or -s -v (either with or without the -f) do you get a KP in the boot cycle, or does it just get to a point, puke, and reload? I have found -v -f to be my friend when there are strange reload issues. If you have a KP, please post a screen shot if possible. ok i have spent the last 3 days trying to get this laptop to update from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2 for the initial install of 10.6 i followed the guide over at http://macyourpc.com/2009/09/13/mac-os-x-1...oot-132-method/ and it worked flawless then updated to 10.6.1 combo update pack again not a problem.. i have tried using the 10.6.2 sleepenabler.kext, also tried using kernel from working 10.6.1 after updating to 10.6.2 nothing seem to let it boot all i get is a continious reboot loop after rebooting the install. i have alos tried booting with -v -x, -f -v-x, -s all wit hthe same results any help would greatly be appreciated below are my system specs Processor, Pentium 4 Prescott Dt, 3.2ghz, 1 Megb, 800fsb 1.86, 1MB, Core Merom, A1 Wireless, Minicard, DW1395 4312BG Hard Drive, 120GB, Serial Ata 9.5, 5.4K, W125 Assembly, Cdrw/dvd, 24X, SPSY Sony Dual In-line Memory Module 1gig, 667, 64X64, 8K,
xmods
screen shot right after this it will reboot i was able to use fn +pause to stop the screen it took me a bunch of times to get it but i did i also tried your suggestion using Chameleon V2-RC4i used the same guide but replace the v3 install with v4 and it wouldn't even boot after install of 10.6 this screen shot is update from 10.6.1 to 10.6.2 also used sl install disk to check to make sure i removed the SleepEnabler.kext prior to installing 10.6.2 was curious if 10.6.2 not only stopped atoms but stopped p4's also since it's a single core lappy
