I've managed to enter the chameleon bootloader though window's bootloader (using the tboot method) and try to boot mac osx. When booting with -v it hangs on "Mac Framework Successfully initialized"

it looks like this: http://i43.tinypic.com/2m5b0ol.jpg (hangs at exactly the last line)

I have no idea what is causing it. Have looked at many posts but no definitive answer, one came close:

So I downloaded the AppleACPIPlatform.kext and replaced mine with it but it still does the same thing. Apparently this is a known and common issue with a fix that is so hard to find since so many questions here go unanswered.

I'm using the XxX 10.5.6 installer because kalway will not boot:

Configuration Kexts: http://img21.imageshack.us/img21/4649/screenshot1a.jpg

Ive installed with the following configuration (Taken from my install log):
Patches/Chameleon.pkg
Patches/PCEFI_v9.0.pkg
Patches/AppleDecrypt.pkg
Patches/NullCPUPM.pkg
Patches/SMBIOSEFI.pkg
Patches/PS2Nub.pkg
Patches/PS2Controller.pkg
Patches/Kernel/Voodoo_1.0.pkg
Patches/Kernel/10.5.5_System.pkg
Patches/Kernel/10.5.5_seatbelt.pkg
Patches/Chipset/AppleNForceATA.pkg
Patches/Graphics/NV/NVinject.2.1.pkg
Patches/Network/Tulip.pkg
Patches/Others/BootPlist.pkg
Patches/RollbackKexts/AppleACPIPlatform_5.5.pkg
Patches/Misc/KextHelper.pkg
Patches/Misc/EFIStudio.pkg
Patches/Misc/macfusecore.pkg
Patches/Misc/NTFS-3G.pkg
Patches/Misc/OSX86Tools.pkg

Has anyone had this problem before? I saw somewhere that it had something to do with the AppleACPIPlatform.kext but I don't know how to fix it. Attached are my hardware specs. Please look at them. I hope that I have provided any "would be helpers" with enough information.

What sort of configuration should I use?

Please help! I feel so close!!!

Ok, so I have gotten past that part by using "Old APCI" package (under customize) instead of one I listed previously. Now it hangs on "Still waiting on root device" I have googled this topic and it turns out it is most likely problem with ATA device controller.

What I have been doing so far is trying to use the kexts that the actual install cd uses to boot up. It is very difficult to do this since the "-v" boot flag gives little to no clue as to what kexts are used and it is very painful trial and error (my install takes one hour each time). I would like to just copy the kexts that the installer uses to boot but I have no idea where to find them. The Extensions folder does not exist /System/Library/ (when I use the terminal in the installer)

I have looked here: http://code.google.com/p/darwin-ata/downloads/list

Ok, for those of you who actually know anything about installs I hope I have made it painfully simple for you to help me. If I am not mistaken all I need to do is install with the correct .kext driver for my ATA Controller.

From the link above, .kext should I use for an "Intel® 82801BA Ultra ATA Storage Controller - 244B"?

If you need any other info about my hardware specs there are attached in my previous post. I found it hard to get any concrete answer since googling this problem only shows more posts like mine with no solutions.

On another note when I look at the boot output of the installer disc I noticed the word "AppleIntelPIIXPATA" after the part where my harddrive boot would normally freeze. What .kext is this from?

- Thanks,

Ok so with no help from anyone else I managed to figure out that when configuring my install I should use:

- New ICXx (ICH 10) - for my chipset support

- Old APIC/ACPI kexts - for my ACPI support

However it hangs in a different part:

localhost /usr/sbin/ocspd[53]: starting

Someone else has this problem too:

Could anyone lend a helping hand? I don't know this stuff...

- Thanks,

Ok guy's I have no idea why nobody actually responds to this. Simple question, If you know please reply!!! I know you can do this... c'mon... please....

I think this problem is related to the fact that after installing this several times over, I did not select a video card kext.

Ok, Now what kext should I use for NVIDIA GeForce2 MX 100/200 (Microsoft Corporation)?

Selections are:

a. NVInject

b. NVKush

c. NVDarwin

I don't know the versions but please help, seriously please... advice anything... and yes, I did google this before asking.
