Mars478
Hey, Since some of you probably have experience with this card, I opted to post this here. As you may know, me and some others run a site called InsanelyWind about the MSI Wind, and I am planning on buying the new MSI Wind U160 after selling my U100 and Acer Aspire One. Does anyone know if the GMA X3150 Will Work in Mac OSX Snow Leopard?, I have heard that the X3150 is just an upclocked X1300 which the Santa Rosa and Penryn MacBooks use. Part of the reason for buying a U160 (Or U135 if the U160 gets delayed) is to show the community that it is the future and can (Hopefully) Replace the current U100/10/15/20/23's of today. Thank you for your input.

brizone
GMA X3150? Wiki does not list such IGP, Link It's the GMA 3150 (no "x"). See the core table in the wiki article for details, it's in there (just not linked out from the top of the page). Word is that anything with the Atom N450 (and the GMA 3150) has no drivers, and can't function under OS X... I really hope that's not ultimately true in the end, but that's what I've been seeing all over the net lately.

The Intel 4500 series graphics have no working driver, though they have been described as a "tweaked, faster version of the X3100." And as you say, the GMA 3150 has no "X", so arguably the closest relative might be the GMA 3100... which, unfortunately, never had drivers either. Despite the multitude of threads and posts concerning these unsupported 'cards', my prediction is that it simply isn't to be. Unless Apple wrote the drivers themselves, we've never gotten Intel video properly working. Much like the 4500, I think the best we can hope for is changing the resolution, and maybe not even that if I'm understanding the N450 setup. Without source code, we're left with dozens of "yes please!" and "me too!" posts, but no solutions. That said, don't shoot the messenger; I'd be quite pleased to be wrong
