nota33133 Posted January 14, 2010 Share Posted January 14, 2010 I am thinking of a hackintosh i7 the lowest priced built system with the i7 and a 58 chiped MB that I have found new or used is a refurb gateway 8600-01E priced at 650 with a 4850 and 3g memory I have no idea who's MB other then it has 2 pciE x16 slots one x4 and 1 x1 slots and 6 memory slots googled a bit but found little real information on the mother board maker sound [onboard] or nic chips now the price sounds good even if I have to trash the M/B for one that works with snow if the one they used willnot as 650 is way under what I can buy the bits for but I thought I would ask here before purchasing has anyone else tryed this Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/207193-cheapest-i7-built-box-refurb-from-gateway/ Share on other sites More sharing options...
