hi there,

i just installed osx and played around, started actually working.

accidently i deleted a few files. after some google research i found out that the HFS+ filesystem is not really made for data rescue. ive tested a few data recover tools (even these high priced) but none could rescue my 10 jpg files that i deleted an hour ago.

so my question ... is there some kind of extra data security application that overrides the trash bin? deleted files are stored somewhere else in a queque and after some volume limit is reached they get deleted sequentially in the queque?

regards, tom.

Yes, it's a free program called Human Brain 2.0. Sometimes it doesn't work very reliably though, so hopefully the developer will release an upgrade soon.
