Tristan
I may have foolishly jumped the gun in my purchase of a card with the Broadcom BCM94321MC chipset. I read a thread here that says it works in SL 10.6.2 but I guess the post misses a couple of critical details. My card is not the Apple-certified one; rather it's the Dell one. The card is detected as a third-party wireless card by Airport and the device-id is correct in the relevant kext, and I can connect to wireless networks. However, I am unable to access the internet. I tried disabling ipv6, installing the latest airport update for SL 10.6.2 but to no avail. Does anyone know of a workaround? I tried installing IOPCIFamily.kext from Chun-Nan but it doesn't work. Is flashing the ROM of this card the only way? The only problem with ROM flashing for me is that my wired ethernet is not supported and I need an active internet connection in order to get the necessary linux packages. Any help will be greatly appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/207041-broadcom-4328-wireless-card/ Share on other sites
