You may find it head bashing with those components, especially dual booting with no previous knowledge of hackintosh.

I would try with a boodcd rather than the patched SL torrent images.

Hey thanks for your quick reply, could you tell me what you mean by a Boot CD? and where can i get this?

I have also looked time and time again on torrent sites for a good OSx86 ISo file to burn to disc, but I cant find any? can you suggest any,

I truly have no knowledge on Hackintosh and would love some assistance

many thanks.

The CPU model is not that important, basically if you have an AMD CPU you must use the Voodoo kernel or a derivative.

You need to search by motherboard chipset and see if there are drivers available for it.

Hey thanks for your reply, what is a Voodoo kernel or a derivative? and how do i get this?

It's available on The Internet.

Official Voodoo Kernel page (with .pdf manual):

http://code.google.com/p/xnu-dev/

It's derivative as in "derivative work", not released by the original developers.

Updated derivatives for 10.5.6-10.5.8 are available here on Insanely.

THanks I have downloaded an OSx86 from Torrents called Ipc OSx86 10.5.6, but when i try to extract the iso to a folder it says ...

Extract failed! the filename, directory name, or volume label snytax is incorrect.

What does this mean? why is it happening? if it helps, im using Poweriso to extract it.

THis is also the second one i have downloaded and both have come up with this error.

THanks
