I've done it on my IBM R61, and it worked very well (also, i've updated the other security things which software update offered me to download). 291O Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 I attempted this and it restarted once and then says "you need to restart your computer..etc" with a white background and text on it reading about "panic(cpu0 caller)?... Lord_Jeremy Posted January 12, 2010 Share Posted January 12, 2010 Ah, even to update a Vanilla system you probably need to update your seatbelt.kext as well as disabler and a couple other things. Back up your extensions folder first and your kernel if you use Voodoo. Take a look at this page.
