Hi everyone,

I recently (an hour ago), installed 10.4.4 with Myzar's patch.

Everything went well, but my network card isn't recognized.

I'm using the onboard LAN, which is a Marvell Yukon 88E8001/8003/8010 series.

Can anyone tell me what I need to do to fix this?

I'm not ruling out buying a Realtek card (which ones work best?) if it comes to that, I'd just rather not if I don't have to.

Thanks for any help and info ya'll can give me.

hi blanktim,

i have got the same problem using a marvell yukon onboard lan card.

my system is a benq laptop r55 with onboard lan and wlan.

neither the wireless version nor the normal lan adapter is recognized.

jas 10.4.8 is working nice, but i was not able to get the network running so far.

the exact model number of my network card is

Marvell Yukon 88E8055 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller

does anyone of you have a solution to fix this problem, or do we (blanktim and me) have to wait for a release in which a driver is implemented??

thanks for you help

salute

i have also a ee8801 marvell yukon

and i have to tell u there is a 3d in this form that should solve our poblem

there i s nice guy made a driver for this card i guess..

i cant test it yet couse i have other problems installing osx

and still my big problem cant join any channel on this special irc server

blessings

hey, its me again ;-)

i havent visited the irc channel yet (can you pm me channel# and server?? ;-)!!)

(i didnt want to disturb the guys - they are working on our drivers for osx *smile*)

my expertise in mac os x is very limited (i just can use the grahical user interface, nothing deeper like the shell or something like that ;-D)

so i would appreciate if you guys could implement those needed drivers to the next release builds.

then i would really change my OS to "hackintosh" ;-)

that would be great. really ;-)

so guys, please fix that soon *smile*

thanks a lot

hey, thanks guys ;-) nice idea, i think i will check that out, great job.

i hope it will work with my marvell yukon network card:

Marvell Yukon 88E8055 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller

i would also be satisfied with the implementation of my wireless lan card ^^

any ideas with that??

here ist the model number:

Intel® PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection

this is at least what vista says ^^

hopefully you will find a way for that as well *smile*

but the yukon one has primary importance ^^

I did it. --;

change the key string in System/Library/Extensions/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleYukon.kext

<key>IOPCIPrimaryMatch</key>

<string>0x436211AB</string>

-> 0x436311AB

and delete extension cache.

sudo rm -r /System/Library/Extensions.mkext

sudo rm -r /System/Library/Extensions.kextcache

and repair permission

diskutil repairPermissions /

and reboot. done.
