ipodman
I'm not sure if this is specifically 10.6 related or just because my hard drive died. I installed it but the bootloader was messed up and i wanted to dual boot so I partitioned using GUID partitioning table and now I can't make any changes to the hard drive at all and it won't boot and its stuck. Disk utility doesn't work it give me input/outpoot error when I try to reformat or repartition, I've tried linux tools including GParted which worked last time when I had the input/output error but now it freezes when I try to create new partition table and can't do anything. I also tried fsck in the Mac os x install dvd but it says bad super block: magic number wrong and it can't find the magic number and I don't know the magic number. Does this mean I need a new Harddrive? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/206767-installed-106-now-harddrive-is-messed-up/ Share on other sites
