rancormac Posted January 10, 2010 Share Posted January 10, 2010 Ok guys, I am on my 2nd hackintosh, and both DVD drives I picked have struck out. Toast works, but no native apple app support. How is everyone dealing with this? Am I missing some kexts or hacks? Or is everyone just getting super compatible DVD burners? I am pretty sure not everyone out there is having the same trouble I am... Suggestions? I'm tempted to just drop a quick $30 on whatever dvd burner provides 100% support. All of mine are SATA. I get 'generic burn support' in profiler, but like others have posted, I get weird burning issues in Disk Utility, iTunes, iPhoto, etc. In Disk Utility it says 'not enough free space on disk' no matter what. I am just looking for a burner thats really dang compatible.
