Matt K.
I've just done a pretty basic iDeneb install on my new laptop. Voodoo kernel, seatbelt fix, and the default options were all I selected. As soon as I had it up and working, I tried following the Atheros tutorial from this forum to get my wifi up and running. Needless to say, it does not - I copied over the IO80211Family.kext, fixed the permissions and enabled it, but nothing happens when I launch my Network preferences. Is there any way to get my built-in wireless working? It's an Atheros AR5B93 and listed as "Acer Invilink Nplify 802.11b/g/Draft-N". Please help me out here - I've gotten myself into a bit of a mess.
