Halian Tesaukan Posted January 9, 2010 Share Posted January 9, 2010 I recently obtained a copy of iPC 10.5.6 PPF5 with the intent of installing it on my eMachines EL1331G-01w (see Figure A) in dualboot with Windows 7 [see Figure B]. After installing (see Figure C), it hangs on an error (of sorts) saying it's waiting for IOKit to quiesce after some errors about mDNSResponder. Yes I am using -f -v. Figure A. Specifications. nForce motherboard (exact model unknown, as eMachines get their motherboards from various manufacturers) 1808.5 MHz (200.9 MHz x9) AMD Athlon 64 2 GB RAM Onboard nVidia GeForce 6150SE video (256 MB VRAM) Realtek 5.1 HD Audio nForce 10/100/1000 LAN (exact model unknown because it's onboard) DVD+-RW (DVD+-R DL) drive (52x/16x) (exact model unknown, as eMachines get their DVD burners from various manufacturers) Figure B. Hard Drive Setup. At 0 GB: 14 GB recovery partition At 14 GB: 100 MB boot partition At 14 GB: 199 GB Windows 7 partition At 214 GB: 83 GB Mac OS X partition Figure C. Install Options.
