Hi there,

I'm stuck with a problem preventing me to install my hackintosh. I found many threads about this problem but no one seem to have a solution.

-----------

2 different cases, same error :

1st case - iAtkos v7

It starts to boot then it gives me this error :

Attempting to determine CPU Multiplier. If System reboots, RDMSR causes a fault.

Really hard to catch since it instantly reboots the PC.

2nd case - custom boot disk + retail DVD of Snow Leopard

Exactly the same thing happen.

I followed this thread (thx Hecker) to build my boot cd : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=140683

My computer is a Dell Optiplex 740 Enhanced (nforce chipset and amd proc).

It is my first hackintochization try on an AMD processor, I think I'm missing something. If someone could help me to fix/bypass this it would be nice. I'm aiming to write a step-by-step guide especially for this Dell model if I manage to boot 10.5 or 10.6.

Thx for reading this.

Nyphew
