kpdus
Hi, I'm desperately trying to make my Netgear WG511T work in 10.4.6 on Toshiba laptop (the card itself works perfectly on WinXP). I've copied necessary kext's from 10.4.5 and the card is recognized by the OS (and assigned to en1, en0 is assigned to the built-in Ethernet, which is disconnected), but then OS locks up when it tries to actually connect to the wireless network. dmesg shows several error messages like unable to reset hardware; hal status ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 6 and 11 unable to restart recv If I remove the card temporarily, OS continues, but when I reinsert the card back, it's not connected obviously (although OS recognizes it). ANY ideas what can I try next? Another question: How do I make OS to try to connect to the wireless network again after the card is reinserted (although it'll probably lock up again)? Thank you. kpdus
Also, if you have WG511T working on 10.4.6 (HotIso + 10.4.5 kexts), which firmware do you have? I have the latest - 4.0.0.140. Could that be the problem? Thank you. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20643-wg511t-locks-up-the-os/#findComment-136624 Share on other sites

Micky Wicky
It's one of those "mee too" posts - I have exaclty the same errors on a Toshiba Tecra 9100, same card, same errors, same symptoms, the whole shebang. No replacing of extensions from 10.4.5 heled so far. Trying to get hold of 10.4.8 to check there. Any extra info appreciated.
