So I have a Lifehacker build, running 10.6.2, using a GeForce GTX+ 9800.

My issue is with the built in fan on the video card. After I start up the machine, its all nice and quiet at its low idle speed. However the moment I do anything intense, like Warcraft, it revs up to max rpm. Thats normal, I get it. However, after I stop any games or anything, it wont idle down again, it just keeps going at max speed for hours. The only way to get it to idle down again is to reboot.

This thing gets *loud*. How do I make it idle down properly without a reboot?

Any ideas?

Thanks,

-M
