StarkIndustries
Hey guys, I have been trying to install OS X on my AMD machine for a while now. I have Windows 7 working on and running on my machine currently. My partitions look as follows... Partition 1: NTFS 100MB (System Reserve Files Partition 2: NTFS 159.5GB (Windows 7 Install) Partition 3: Mac OS Journaled 144GB (10.5.7 but havent booted yet) **I have been using EasyBCD to run my bootloader, but it wont boot into anything but W7. I originally tried iDeneb v1.4 with success (this was before windows 7 was installed), with the exception of graphics and Ethernet drivers. I then tried to install SL with Hazards distro. I couldnt get the DVD to boot, even after I applied ppf patches. I am now trying to install iDeneb v1.5. I got it to install (IE boot the DVD) using the darwin commands "busratio=20 cpus=1". I cant safely boot into 7 right after the install, but cant manage to boot into OS X. Specs for install of iDeneb -Chameleon v2 -9.5.0 Voodoo ( Intel/AMD SSE2/SSE3 ) -AppleAzaliaAudio -ATIATA ( 64 Bit Support ) -Realtek 8111 -HD4850 -Seatbelf Fix (required with Voodoo?) If I boot from the dvd using the command " -v mach_kernel cpus=1 bustratio=20 rd=disk0s5" (my partition), i get stuck at "still waiting for root device". I have tried numerous times to use EasyBCD to add the OS X distro to the boot loader, but it never works. My Specs: AMD Phenom XII 3.2ghz Asus M4A79XTD EVo: Chipset AMD 790X/SB750 (2x2gb) OCZ Ram ATI HD 4670 Video Card (not supported apparently) 320 GB SATA HD THANKS Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205918-amd-phenom-system-install-trouble/ Share on other sites
