It is not possible to effectively (at least not effectively in a native boot) to run OS X on that laptop. The laptop has an nForce 410/430 motherboard which is an MCP51, and the MCP51 isn't supported for SATA at the moment. You can use the modified AppleVIAATA.kext posted somewhere on the forum which will work *sometimes* not go berserk most of the time.

The only way to effectively run OS X on the V3000 laptop is to run it in VMware, at least until a driver that can drive the SATA controller on the MCP51 emerges. It may take some time, but with patience I'm sure you will hear good news :D
