V1nc3nt
I love Mac OS X, but don't have the money to buy one. So I want to install Hackintosh on my pc with the following config: Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 AMD ATHLON 64 X2 Dual Core 5200+ MSI 8800 GTS 320 Samsung HD161HJ ATA HDD 1 DVD-Drive and 1 DVD-Drive/Burner (S-ATA) Here found a mainboard, which is quite similiar to my mainboard, apart from the southbridge, mine is 710, the called is 700. The one is GA-MA770-US3. The one, who added it to the wiki, used iDeneb V1.4 10.5.6, so i downloaded this. The one had to use Chameleon Bootloader with Voodoo Kernel and the seatbelt.kext. In the Wiki I read that Seatbelt.kext fixes a error appearing when mounting a drive. So I don't think it is necessary for me at first. What I want to ask, and I hope this is not the silliest question ever, is how do I install chameleon bootloader? And how can I use Voodoo kernel and the drivers for Audio and LAN? Shpould I use the new Chameleon RC? I just want to ask, before installing, so i don't mess anything up... I tried to install Hackintosh once, but it didnt boot, but freeze at bootup when theres the Apple logo with the Circle under it. I don't know anymore, when it ended when I chose -v to bootup, but now I think this happened because of the Chameleon bootloader which I didn't use... I apologize for my bad english and hope you can help me, V1nc3nt Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205889-help-on-installing-hackintosh-with-ga-ma770-ud3/ Share on other sites
ZeDD2006
My mainboard is the MA770T-UD3P... I screwed up my windows 7 install so i would disconnect y our windows hdd and do a test install and then do some research on how to get windows in the bootloader later on. But to answer your questions: But when you get to the screen where it says install, to the left of that window is a button that says "Customize" thats where you pick your kexts, bootloader, kernal and etc. Do some research on your bios settings before you install. Again, disconnect your windows drive for the time being and plug it back up when you get osx installed and working. Yeah, I already wanted to do that, as I run my hdds in IDE-mode but have to switch to ahci for hackintosh... Thanx for ur reply, I will try that today... V1nc3nt
I am installing atm, but at the customizing part I couldn't choose Chameleon Bootloader. I chose German Language pack, ALC888, Kernel 9.5.0 Voodoo, Realtek R1000, cause I couldn't find R10000, Seatbel Fix and NVDarwin 320. So I guess i have everything except for Chameleon Bootloader. How can I choose or install that? I am resuming the Installing now an look how it will work...
