t.skid
After a long time, and a "beautiful friendship" with my Acer TM 2482 (where everything works great), I found from a reseller a good bargain: TravelMate 6492 (14" C2D 7300, X3100, Bluetooth etc. ). I've installed 10.5.6 Kalyway, and almost everything is perfect: VGA, sound, card reader, bluetooth, Camera.... Ok, Wi fi is an Intel 4965, then is K.O., but I could replace it with my "old" broadcom from the glorious 2482 (that is still working, BTW!). The big trouble came from keyboard and Trackpad. In the new 6492 neither Keyboard and trackpad works!! :-( I've tried all the patches around, from PS2fix, VoodooPS2, removed the old ones, and also 10.5.2, 10.5.1, and 10.4.8. No way, nothing... To make it clear, keyboard is ok with bootloader, but when OSX start, they're gone, even during installation. Trackpad have the finger sensor and keyboard have that "odd-greeny-thing" to move the cursor, like the old IBMs. It's a pity, because leo is working great. Any idea? Or, anyone here have the same notebook and have a clue?
