I have tryed a lot of installs (all of them are working on my pc (Intel Pentium D 2.99GHz)), but i can't install them on my laptop (AMD Athlon X2 QL-62). I have tryed to install by removing hdd from laptop and connecting it to pc, but when i connect it back to laptop, it just doesn't boot. Install cd's doesn't boot too. I have tryed iDeneb v1.3, iAtkos v7, Zephyroth 10.5.1, Zephyroth 10.5.2 Rev.1, iPC 10.5.6, but none of them doesn't boot on my laptop. All of them restarts after trying to boot with darwin (installations and installed OS). I don't know if anyone has a solution, please tell me how to do it (it would be nice to have 10.6 Mac OSX but older would be nice too with dual boot). My PC specifications AMD Athlon Dual-Core QL-62 2GB of RAM MB Wistron 303C Bios F.37 v2.4 NVIDIA GeForce 8200M G P.S. All my CD's were installed on lowest speed (2.4x-4x), and i have tryed all of these commands combinations in darwin: cpus=1 -v -x -s -f (all possible combinations on all install discs). P.S.S. TheRealPorkchop Posted January 3, 2010 Share Posted January 3, 2010 I'm not sure but I think you need a patched version. Like iPC PPF5 Final. Or start looking for iDeneb patches and the PPF-o-matic patching do-hickey thing, whatever it's called. And btw, i'm really noob with bios, but in my bios there are much less configs than on my pc. So i think maybe if i've configed something in there i could boot it, but when there is only boot section and hdd & memmory checking i cant do much with it. It's "Mac OS X 10.4.4/5 osx86 Patched Bootable DVD" or sth like that, but the thing now is that it only supports PATA HHD's, and my HDD is SATA2. Is there any way to install it to SATA2? Btw i have tryed this guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=13487 but installer stucks in the end, ~2min left till installation is complete, laptop cpu usage jumps to 100%. Any ideas? P.S. If someone is using AMD pc and can't boot (keeps restarting) i offer to try this disc, it should boot. kurmis56 Posted January 18, 2010 Author Share Posted January 18, 2010 Ok so i have installed OSx86 10.4.4 on VMWare, but there is no bootloader. How can i install it? And what is more when i use DVD as a bootloader (cant run in -v mode), I get the screen that i have to restart my pc, and it continues all the time i try to boot. What is wrong with that?
