Yeah im trying to install 10.5.6 on my computer and i can not even get to the install screen.. it just says on the apple sign and just sits there.

Im running on a Abit IP35 Pro, a Intel Quad Q6600 2.40ghz 2gbs of Ram and a geforce 8800

Did you try booting with the flag "cpus=1"?

When Darwin boots up, press F8 to enter boot options and type:

-v cpus=1

This will boot OSX in verbose mode with one CPU active, which is needed for some systems. I know some people have trouble with quad core systems as well.
