Alright guys, I have been trying to get this to run for a week now. I think I got this forum and hundreds of others memorized and many DVD's wasted. This is my last ditch effort to get this to run on my PC. I've seen people with it with almost my same specs, but my inexperience with Mac show by not understanding how to get it to run.

My specs:

MB Intel d945sg

CPU Q9550 quad core 2.83 1333 FSB

4GB of Ram 1333

Seagate 7200RPM 32mb cache SATA2

ATI HD 4670 Powercolor

Phillips SATA DVDRW 20X

My Mac Version is Mac OSX86 Universal 3.6

I follow all the instructions on getting it installed, the whole sh DSDT thing. When it reboots this is what I get (see pic). I'm so stuck guys and I really want this to work. Any help would be great.

its your kext for your video thats causing your panic, i dont know whats needed to get your ati card going, i always used nvidia because they tend to be alot easier to make work

Would deleting them or replacing them fix the boot issue? I mean I have tried this like 20 or so times, I really don't want to reload again if you know what I mean.

Can you boot into SL at all with the installation disc, or some other boot cd/usb?

I can boot with the DVD...its installed, just won't go to the desktop with the dumb kernel panic. I have tried -x and -x32 and still panic.

I tried the retail install once, but no luck. That was before I learned all this stuff. If I can't figure it out with you guys help, I'll bite it again and try the retail install once again...since none of he other ones seem to work right.

I would check netkas' website on dealing with the ATI 4xxx series cards. It looks like a video problem.

Is it possible for you to try an nVidia card? I've tried the 8500gt and 8400gs without issue. All resolutions appear and, in my case, there was no need to load additional drivers.

I'm going to try the netkas website since all my video cards are ati. I'll post as soon as I get something.

Does your motherboard have onboard graphics? If it does, you could try setting up using the Intel 950 video drivers.

Nothing on board to try. I'm starting to think I'm doomed not to get this working. Been 2 and a half weeks on this with no improvement on getting somewhere. I tried all the netkas boot loaders, all their kexts and have tried 2 universal versions 3.5 and 3.6 and the retail that won't do jack with nothing to show.

Any more ideas before I say the hell with it?

Thanks... :(

Hey guys, thank you so much for all the help. I have wasted my last DVD with the Hazard DVD. I'm going to keep an eye out on the post that audit13 posted to see if there's any improvement, but I think I'm done. Leopard works, except for the video res. If anyone knows how to fix that, your input would be most appreciated, and I'll gladly play with leopard until SL gets it right or someone finds a fix.

Thanks again to all who posted and helped.
