Since your processor doesn't seem to be supported,When you boot from disc where it says press f8 for boot options, press F8 and type.. cpus=1 -v Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205054-ipc-1056-fails-at-start/#findComment-1373180 Share on other sites

mikedv6500
ok... so, now that i got past the processor issue i have a hang issue while entering verbose (-v) it hangs at USB Interface kernel extraction, i have a pic but still this thread refuses to let me upload. but i can enter the boot for a mere 30 sec without the original kernel panic. now i get a mac logo with a crossed circle, like a no smoking sign (only a no mac sign) i would appreciate it if someone knowledgeable on the subject would give me a go ahead and a solution or call me a complete retard and tell m why i am having so manny hang ups and/or that my computer is not compatible and why lol. thanks in advance, Mike A. OK Thanks for the screenshots, it looks like its something to do with your cpu when the kernel is trying to boot the system. What options are you selecting during installation of iPc? be sure to pick a kernel that supports your CPU it should say in the description when choosing one. Also be sure to tick the correct chipset driver, that also maybe the problem. Use google to find your motherboard and chipset. The kernel panic you get when you entered 'cpus=1' and '-v' was it trying to mount a harddrive. Disconnect any not needed external drives/flash pens. Then try booting with -v cpus=1 -x Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205054-ipc-1056-fails-at-start/#findComment-1373481 Share on other sites
mikedv6500
ok as for motherboard main board Manufacturer:quanta Model: 30CF : 85.26 chipset: NVIDA nForce 560 Rev A2 Southbridge: NVIDA nForce 560 as far as choosing the correct kernel, i have no clue what you mean<n00b(bigtime) i insert the disk type CPUS=1 -v that got me past the kernel panic of my boot disc abd as for your -v cpus=1 -x i have to try it before i can say it works. ive been running off of youtube vids and troubleshooting off of others posts on this site but they dont have my setup so its difficult to factor what should be correct. and as far as my usb config, i have a wireless keyboard and mouse hooked up the usb toaster(HDD dock) HDD im trying to install OSx on i will un plug the keyboard but not the hdd and see hw that goes but if i unpuug the HDD will i be able to plug it back in when i want to install the OS? or will it not recognize it then? Ok then great my email is: lloydlewysowen@gmail.com make sure you put a subject in otherwise my spam filters wont realise Waiting for root device hmm... there are so many threads about this. You could try booting with an extra flag -v -x -f cpus=1 platform=x86pc or.. platform=acpi That should get around waiting for root device if not, make sure you choose patch dsdt in the installation, and also there's a fix for that I THINK i can't remember if not there's a new release called ideneb 10.5.8 lite. not sure why its called 'lite' but that fixed nearly every single one of my problems for boot. So Good Luck! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205054-ipc-1056-fails-at-start/#findComment-1374124 Share on other sites

mikedv6500
not 100% yet i still have to get an audio driver that works and a few other little tweaks here and there all in all im 95% up and running with leo4all. it runs smooth no crashes not much unstability but no sound and gradual trackpad and keyboard errors. i fix that pretty well seing as i use my DV6500 notebook as a desktop more or less anyway. i have it hooked up with a wireless keyboard and mouse to bypass the trackpad and mouse problem and i have a little 26" lcd tv i got a few years ago for a monitor. i really like this program and would reccomend it to anyone with an amd processor. ill do a writeup on it asap or when i get it to arround 98% Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205054-ipc-1056-fails-at-start/#findComment-1375166 Share on other sites
Lloyd Owen
Oh Good! Program ? Do you mean leo4all distribution ? Whats the problem with your mouse and keyboard? did you select the ps2 fix ? that should fix it if none of them or if both of them are not working you can install packages from the disc later on also Google that or i could tell you Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/205054-ipc-1056-fails-at-start/#findComment-1375195 Share on other sites
mikedv6500
yes leo4all. the stock notebook keyboard and trackpad dont like to start properly unless i have my wireless usb keyboard and mouse set up from the star, if not its a {censored} shoot(with the laptop keyboard and trackpad). they will start with no errors or one wont be recognized and the other will or neither will work. as far as the ps2 fix, there was no tab but my wireless keyboard and mouse work perfect every time . this is leo4allv2 (leopard 10.5.2) it is the only one i have downloaded that is compatible with my chipset and processor, i am currently downloading leo4all v4.1 to see if that will work with my notebook properly. one thing i would like to know about is, are there any Snow Leopard OSx86 platforms out for specific AMD applications? i have read that leo4all had been taken over by someone else and that they were planning a Snow Leopard release. i have only seen a Snow Leopard server release (V5) also if not, how can i painlessly upgrade to SL? i have seen update patches and such but alot of people like me with HP pavilion 6000-9000 series notebooks have no luck with alot of the OSx86 programs and updates. that or the system just havent been patched correctly for our chipsets yet. i was shooting originally for IPC because it had alot more compatibility options in the screenshot i saw on the OSx86 how to's but i have yer to get past the waiting for root device error. i had hoped that my version was just corrupt but i checked the code and it was the right .iso but all in all leo4all was a straight forward and easy installation and if someone else out there has a hp 6000-9000 series (For me DV6500) i will post the link on where i found most trouble shooting info. and thank you for all this great programing and scripting to all you OSx86 geniuses for a wonderful program and a great OS also thank you Llyod! Keep in touch! ill update progress as it happens! Lloyd Owen
Here's your driver for your PS/2 Controller so you can use your trackpad and keyboard. That should work for you.Apple PS/2 Driver Before you install another distubtion try that, and post back, and waiting for root device, i can't remember if you was installing onto a usb hard drive or Internal ? If USB That can cause many problems, try making sure your chipset driver is installed correctly and patch dsdt.aml in the iPc options that may help as it write's a specific driver for your mobo. Install the package, or if it is .kext download kexthelper ( Google ) and repair permissions using disk utility.. Have fun with your hackintosh and hope everything works well, and Happy new Year from me !
