idboehman
Yesterday I spent about 3 hours fiddling with shell replacements to try and make my Windows 7 machine more OS X-like. Well, needless to say, it wasn't very fruitful. I began to look up stuff about OSx86 and found out that my Windows computer seems to be running all the necessary hardware for a Hackintosh. The hardware I'm running is: Gigabyte GA-G31M-ES2L MicroATX Motherboard XFX PV-T96G-YHF GeForce 9600GT Intel E6300 Some random LG DVD-R/CD-RW Drive 640GB SATA HDD Since I seem to have the right hardware, my next place would be to start an install of Snow Leopard. I have a DVD of it, I just have no idea where to start. I was wondering if I could use this guide to proceed. I also want to have my Windows 7 install un-touched so that I'd be running a dual boot. Could I just free up space and partition the drive to have free space for the Snow Leopard Install to use? That's it basically. tl;dr If I have the above hardware, can I use this guide to install Snow Leopard on my computer and have a dual boot with my existing Windows install.
