rastaman3d
I'm going to install osx on a clean hard drive. Fortunately i have a Mac at work so i can partiton the disk in many modes. What kind of partition i have to make for let the install disk recognize my drive? - Mac OS Extended (journaled) - Mac OS Extended - Mac OS Extended (Case sensitive, journaled) - Mac OS Extended (Case sensitive) - MS Dos File system - Unix file system and i have also this option for my partition - GUID Partition Table - Apple Partition Map - Master Boot Record Which is the right one? Thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/20499-what-kind-of-parition/ Share on other sites
gwprod12
well, I'd go for the HFS+ journalling if you have to turn off the system, it saves you a lot of time as opposed to fsck -fy I didnt know disk utility gave you an MBR option. NeSuKuN
journaled (more reliable) case-sensitivity is just a matter of preferences. use master boot record partitioning as it's pc's native partitioning scheme IIRC.
