will_lawrence
I stumbled on a way to install Mac OS X 10.6 on any x86 (As far as I know). The following was tested using a Dell 1525 with the Drivers Pack available on insanelymac ...somewhere (Just search or google) And it worked like a charm. NOTE: You will need another Hackintosh to install Mac OS X 10.6 (or the one you want to install on with a previous version of Mac OS X will also work) 1. Using an external Hard Drive on a second "Hackintosh" as Noted above, Install Mac OS X 10.6 by browsing to System/Installation/Packages and run "OSInstall.mpkg". You can use "ShowAllFiles" (Available in the Dell 1525 Drivers Pack) to unhide folders. 2. After install is finished, install "myHack Installer 1.0 RC4.1 r55.mpkg" .. Google or search insanelymac) 3. DON'T REBOOT! 4. Copy the file "dsdt.aml" (From the Dell Drivers Pack) to the root of the Mac OS X 10.6 Hard Drive, (This disables the forever sleep mode). 5. Reboot & enjoy! 6. Install any kext files you need It couldn't be any easier!
