Yifan Lu
So I installed Leopard 10.5.6 with the iPC disk (Voodoo 9.5 kernel, Chameleon 2.0 RC4, GUID formatted hard drive). When I tried to boot up however, I get the "Still waiting for root device" error. I tried "-x -v", "-f -v", and "rd=disk0s2 -v", but it still didn't work, so I popped my iPC disk back into the drive, and booted into it with the command "rd=disk0s2 -v" and it worked. So my question is: how do I get Leopard to work without the disk? It's also helpful if I know what's the difference between the disk and my installation. I tried different bootloaders and none worked, so it's either the kernel or the different loaded kext. Is there any way I can check?
