I was hoping to put this together this year. Just curious to know people's thoughts on it:

Intel BOXDG41MJ LGA 775 Intel G41 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard

Intel Pentium E5200 Wolfdale 2.5GHz 2MB L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...6-072-_-Product

WINTEC AMPX 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model 3AXT6400C5-2048K

Would all of these components comply with the SL 10.6 install? I didn't find the motherboard listed on there. I need to find a good (cheap) graphics card as the GMA 4500 wont comply with osx.

The Intel GMA X4500 isn't supported, as you say; no CI/QE.

If you could live with an Atom 330, search the forum for a dedicated board with nvidia ION. Asrock, for instance. It appears many people are happy with that setup and it can even be used for light game playing.

A problem that a lot of mini system builders run into is that they don't anticipate the length/size of some of the recommended graphics cards out there and have to send the case back for a bigger one. At the moment I want to build a passively cooled mini computer into an old NAD amplifier case, so your post caught my eye.

We are discouraged from putting off site links but go to youtube and search for 'OS Xbox Pro Video Worklog'. The power supply he chose isn't up to the job of video crunching and the video card is a bit basic but... nice build!
