Hello Everyone,

I have a Gateway M275E Tablet that I want to Hackintosh. I know that it can be done because other people on here have done it. How they did it is a mystery to me.

I followed all the instructions on Lifehacker to the LETTER. I got my thumbdrive and OS patched and now I'm at the step where I do the BIOS operations.

I FEEL LIKE CRYING.

You see, my BIOS page looks NOTHING like any of yours. It's totally stripped down to oblivion. I have used every diagnostic program to figure out what the motherboard is, I have close to 70 web pages loaded on my computer combing the internet ranging from motherboard topics, bios topics, gatweay topis, hackintosh topics, etc.

I am desperate. I've been searching for 3 days and this is my last resort. What do I do to get Snow Leopard on this machine? I'm desperate and feel like breaking down.

I know it can be done because it HAS been done. So why can't I get to a decent BIOS menu? HELP PLEASE!

Thank you.

Have you tried using the boot 123 cd? That is what I used for my gateway! search for the boot 123 cd and download the iso. after you get that you can use the retail upgrade cd to install. I don't think you can boot from usb on a laptop, at least I couldn't!

I had to load the operating system and then install an EFI partition that the os boots from, that is what has all my bios info!

DrewBoy,

Can you share how to get the EFI partition set up? I have the same issue with my M275, there is nothing to configure in the BIOS and when I complete the install it just hangs regardless of how I try to boot it. Most people are saying that changing BIOS setting will fix the hanging but there is nothing really to change in the BIOS.

M275,

Did you ever get this to work? If so can you share? I would love to get this going on my M275 as well.

Thank you in advance for your help!
