comphelper225
Hey guys. As you can tell from my post count, im VERY new here, and this is my second install on this particular computer. Earlier, i was using IKATOS to instal 10.5.5, now im using IKATOS to install 10.5.7, and after the install succeeded screen, i get the reboot (normal) and then the apple logo loads. The loading takes normally about 1 minute, and then i get an icon on the apple icon itself, and the spinning logo on the bottom keeps going. Here is a video of what is happening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMogUv7bv7w Can anyone please help me fix this?? bhoku
you did not type the following: at the bootloader prompt (Darwin x86) -f -v if you get the LOGO and SPINNING Wheel this is good. If you get the LOGO and SPINNING Wheel stops or you get a Red Sign with / through it this is bad. You did not read the instructions thoroughly and followed them exactly. ON First boot you must always type: -f and to see what is going on type -v So it looks like this boot: -f -v then you press your Enter Key "-f" forces to load the 'kexts' What are kexts? Drivers for your OS to load so you can have an OS to use. Try that.
