iPC 10.5.7 Audio

I've had my Hack running for about a year: iPC 10.5.6, upgraded to 10.5.7.

Triple-Booting: XP, Ubuntu, OS X

Crucial Specs: Gigabyte EP45-UD3R, Intel Q9550

 

I couldn't find this specific problem, although I know it's out there on the boards somewhere. I've been looking for days.

 

My problem is: the audio sounds terrible. There's this really high-pitched buzzing sound. It's faint, but it's slowly driving me crazy.

 

Any ideas?

 

I've reinstalled the AppleHDA.kext, but I don't wanna try anything too crazy, 'cuz ultimately I am guided by trial-and-error and i've screwed up several times.

 

Is that just how the onboard audio sounds? Should I just get a compatible sound card?
