Ok so I had my laptop running OSX via iAtkos v2, however with lack of internet I decided to grow my linux partition and get rid of it. But reccently i've had an urge to get osx back. So I downloaded and verifived the MD5 of iAtkos v7 and burned it at the slowest rate my burner had (2.4 I beleive). It runs through verbose mode yelling about my firewire but the old install did too though so I wasn't worried. Then the GUI started to load and I was presented with an popup box telling me the installer failed and that I can shutdown, restart, view log, or save log.

If I had the ability to post the log I would, but is this a bad disk or bad hardware? I have tried this now on three PCs and end up in the same popup box so I started to question the disk... any ideas?

p.s. I can access the disk utility, password reset, and basically everything but the installer.

-Thanks, and I'd be happy to answer any questions needed to figure this out.

Ok Fella, Your problem is most probably your disc as 3 computers done the exact same thing, i wouldn't mind taking a look at that log if you could take pictures or a video or anything easiest to you :)

Try disabling your firewire/1394 port in this bios.

And i recommend iPCx86's installer. It was the only one that worked for me and had more kexts available on the disk than any other installer that i have used. I never had any luck with iAtkos.
