chonk
So I installed Windows XP Service pack 2 on my MacBook pro, and when I attempt to install the drivers cd, I keep getting an corupted data error when the installer tries to install the cab1 file. I have tried re-creating the cd three times and keep getting the same error. Does anyone have any advice. I really need to get this installed and working as this is the main reason that I finally made the switch back to Mac (work needs Windows). Is there any way that I could download someone elses driver CD from a MacBook pro and try that? One last thing...when I originally tried to get BootCamp to run, I kept getting an invalid CheckSum error. I finally just skipped the verification and it seemed to work fine. Could that be the issue? I downloaded it numerous times from Apple and kept getting the same problem...weird... LasVegas
If you Control-Click the Boot Camp Assistant and select "Show Package Contents," you will find the file "DiskImage.dmg" in Contents/Resources. This is the Driver CD image. You might try burning it to a CD using Toast or Disk Utility at a slower speed.
