dark5ide
Hi all, I have been an avid reader of these forums for quite some time and have many hacks but I am having a strange issue with my latest one. I bought this pack today http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?moduleno=345443 . I know the onboard graphics arent supported by vanilla installs, I am going to buy another Nvidia 8400 GS for £30 and use the EFI string once this works properly. I have installed via my 8GB pendrive and it went without a hitch, the problem is that EVERY time I boot the desktop is unusable for around 5 minutes or so, it wont react at all. The mouse moves etc but I cannot click on anything etc. After this time its perfectly normal. I am lost with regards to things to try. Can someone please point me in the right direction? The hack is : Intel E3200 dual core CPU 2GB RAM ECS G31T-M9 - link here - http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Products/...D=1&LanID=0 250GB SATA HDD IDE DVD-RW Running Snow Leopard, Vanilla kernel and no extra kexts yet (although I know the ones to use). Thanks for any help, Paul. EDIT - Silly me, I hadnt checked the BIOS settings as I usually do prior to install. Sorted the CPU settings correctly for OSX and now all is well!
