kingandthefool
I recently downloaded, burnt, and booted from a iPC 10.5.6 disk and went through the installation as normal. After I had accepted the licence and conditions, the disk wouldn't detect any partitions. I went to disk management under utilities, and I could see all my partitions (1 for vista, 1 for ubuntu, 1 pqservice backup partition, and one 10 gb partition to install mac to) None of these could be mounted. kingandthefool
I could really use some help with this. I've tried kalyway and iatkos, neither of which worked. If I can get iPC to install I'd be happy Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204029-ipc-1056-wont-detect-any-disks/#findComment-1370124 Share on other sites

May I know how you did it? The boot problem: first type -v in the boot options before booting.. You'll get a lot of messages, and at the place where it gets stuck, type the last few sentences you got in a post on this thread.. Actually I didn't get it to work During the installation It wouldn't detect any disks, so i formatted one as a mac os journaled (which it then detected and installed to) after a while of installation, in rebooted back to the installation. I tried booting into vista, xp, or ubuntu, but the options weren't there. For some reason, their partitions had been shrunken dramatically (I believe each was a few mb in size) and created a large portion of free space. I retried the installation about 3 times, and each time it rebooted back into the installation. I decided to give up and reinstall xp for now. I will be getting a new laptop tomorrow, so I will look into hackintosh for that (it has much better specs, with 8 gb of ram) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/204029-ipc-1056-wont-detect-any-disks/#findComment-1372707 Share on other sites
