Wouldn't it be wonderful if I can just simply load the disc and install onto my PC? But I dun think it's that simple...right?... haiz~ **sigh**

Have tried searching the net for a step-by-step SL guide for GA-965P-DS3 rev 1.0 but the closest I can get is this: Snow Leopard on Gigabyte 965P-DS3 or DS4 motherboard, a brief guide.

Not sure if it works for my mobo, am still waiting for the arrival of the retail SL. Also, I'm not sure how to get the com.apple.Boot.plist with my EFI String...hmmm...guess I need to google some more on the net. Plus the guide says I need a working leopard which I don't right now...guess I need to make it work somehow...

Any help will be be appreciated.

It should work. I used the Lifehacker guide (the earlier "hacking required" one that uses terminal commands) to install SL on my GA-965P-DS3 rev 3.3.

Later I customized my DSDT instead of using the one that comes with the Lifehacker DLs so I could get sound sorta working. I also unpacked and deleted what it turned out I didn't need from /Extra/Extensions.mkext and moved the rest into the /Extra/Extensions folder so I could more easily track it.

Haven't spent a lot of time with my SL hack so I haven't felt I'd be doing anyone any favors to say more about my install. (I'm not sure how well it works!) But it can work.

I did once try to give an overview of the process in a post for another motherboard. It may not be of any use to you, but FWIW here's a link to that post.
