Hello Everyone...

I recently installed Leopard 10.5.6 on my system using iPC/OSx86 Distro v.PPF5 and updated to 10.5.8 using iDeneb's upgrade patch.

After doing so I can only boot by typing in voodoo at the start up options, otherwise it stops loading with a message that says:

Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4234670

Loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from 4234670

So my questions are:

1. How can I set the voodoo kernel as my default so I don't have to type it in each time I startup my system?

2. Is there a better way of booting so that I get the maximum performance and compatibility out of my system?

3. How can I tell how many CPU threads I am running?

Here are my specs:

Shuttle X27D

Intel Atom 330 Dual Core

Intel 945GC + ICH7

Intel GMA950 Onboard Video

Realtek ALC662 Audio

Realtek RTL8111C Gigabit LAN

Mobo: FMXXG2 (FM27D) - supports EM64T, EDB

2GB RAM

500GB SATA HDD

I also noticed that SLEEP is not working and I only have 1024x768 resolution, but I will tackle those issues after I resolve this issue.

I apologize if this has already been addressed, but I wasn't able to get a search result when I looked for an answer.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Please explain all steps clearly as I am still a NOOB!

In order to use the Voodoo kernel as default. It needs to be named mach_kernel and any other kernels need to be removed or renamed as only one can have that name. If you can't see the kernels you may need an app to make them visible there are several. I use one called "Show hide files"

Best of luck.
