blue screen of death?

I've followed the Lifehacker install with the following key parts:

 

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard<LI>Intel Core 2 Quad 3.0GHz LGA 775 95W Quad-Core Processor<LI>GeForce 9800 GTX+ 512MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16Install went alright, but then I was getting this light-blue colored screen after initial grey-screen bootup. I figured out that if I turned my monitor off and back on, things would start working and I could go on my way.. However, then I decided to try changing screen resolutions. Now the blue screen comes up as usual but I cannot get passed it no matter what I do.

 

Can anyone assist me in getting my screen back? Maybe a complete fix, or perhaps just a link to a tutorial or something where I can edit my screen settings manually and put them back to what they were?

 

Also, I am running this on a Dell 2408wp monitor.
