I've been running Leopard for a year plus without a problem using PC EFI 9 to boot up. I've been trying to install snow leopard and have tried all 4 release candidates of Chameleon, as well as, netkas' PC EFI 10.5.

In each case, Chameleon/PC EFI 10.5 crashes before getting me to the prompt (often with just a symbol in the top left corner of "\" or the colon like symbol with short lines instead of periods). My Asus P5k has all the standard components and an NVIDIA 8800 GT 512 MB - I have 4 SATA Hard drives installed, a SATA Pioneer DVDROM and an IDE Pioneer DVDROM hooked up to the JMICRON controller, and various USB devices hooked up, but even when I disconnect the USB devices it still doesn't work (I haven't tried uninstalling the various HDs). I've tried it with a GUID snow leopard partition and an MBR snow leopard partition. I've tried installing with the RC2 install package (and replacing the boot file), as well as installing manually.

Any thoughts anyone might have on how to get Chameleon to load would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for your help
