preampstudios
Here's my specs to start with: Dell Dimension E520 1 GB of DDR2 SDRAM 3 Ghz Intel Pentium D 925 processor 160 GB SATA II Hard drive nvidia GeForce 6150 LE Graphics GPU Now I installed Leopard the way it says on this site: http://tgrounds.blogspot.com/2009/04/leopa...on-your-pc.html For the customize install I used these settings: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph..._Dimension_E520 and everything seemed to work until I restarted, and then when trying to boot from the SATA hard drive, it stops on the gray apple logo with the no smoking sign on it. Does any one have any ideas of what I can do to fix this? I dont understand why it boots up once after the installation, but not any time after that. preampstudios
Of course it does. If I had a dollar for every time this problem was posted, I would be very rich.you either forgot to install one of the sata fixes in IPC, or you will have to change the hard drive settings in bios, or both. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&cli...mp;oq=&aqi= yeah sorry I thought that the fact that it would boot the first time was somehow significant thanks for your help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203775-help-with-ipc-1056-on-dell-e520/#findComment-1368221 Share on other sites
