Seshadri Rajagopal
I have the same problem. Strangely, the system profiler shows the audio id as 888, even though my DSDT has the correct codec id. after following these steps:drag and drop the ALC889a.Fix.kext file onto the Kext Utility (1) click on your Snow Leopard drive , then (2) click Repair Disk Permissions after rebooting "no output devices found" sound is not working. how to solve this problem? specs: EP45-UD3P intel Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/203755-no-audio/#findComment-1457764 Share on other sites
Bauer-Karl
okay, first of all i´m a german guy, so please excuse my bad english i have bearly a similar problem: my board is Gibabyte EP43-DS3L an i have a sound card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy but my hackintosh isn´t able to detect any sound device in the system preferences, but the systemprofiler also shows my on board sound. i also used kX Audio Driver but my hackintosh is still not able to detect a sound device, so i think it´s maybe a problem of pci? does there exist any pci kext for my board or does anyone of you know another solution?
