I Used a iPC 10.5.6 DVD to Install OS X on my HP Pavilion dv4000

-9.5.0 Voodoo Kernel

-Laptop Display

-Intel GMA 900 (I know the laptop has GMA 915 but 900 works best)

-AC97 Audio (Speakers work Mic port doesn't)

-seatbelt kext

-Intel ICHx SATA Drivers

-PowerManagement Package

-PS/2 Keyboard Fix (ONLY KEYBOARD FIX!)

Do not use the Intel 2200BG driver on the disc use the Project Camphor (Google it) driver.

I am running 10.5.8 on my laptop, use the apple updates and reinstall the drivers above ONLY the drivers above make sure that iPC OSx86 Base System is NOT checked.

Hi there, have the same laptop but with lower RAM parameter (750), do you think it will run properly? And where can I get this distribution?

Thanks,

Simon

Hi jacobgeek

Thanks for sharing the info. It helped me a lot :thumbsup_anim: . I selected and installed the same drivers you mentioned here and now my dv4330 running "iPC 10.5.6" with WiFi too. You're genius  .

Can you please help me to solve the following issues:

- Sound is breaking while playing any music or video

- Can I update my OS version 10.5.6 to latest 10.6.2

Thanks again  :)

Hey,

I have the same laptop as you used here, yet I can't install OS X on it.

I keep getting a kernel panic.

HFS: Runtime corruption detected on , fsck will be forced on next mount.

It would be helpful if you told me what you did to get this install working

Thanks in advance
