Hi everybody, first sorry for my bad English.

I tried to install mac os 10.5 on my vaio nw21mf / w first with rebel efi then with empire efi.

With rebel efi I boot properly then I insert the Mac OS dvd and then I get stuck on the background of mac os x.

And with Empire efi I boot properly then I insert the mac os x dvd then after about 10 minutes I have the following message:

Error: Uncompressed file is not the length recorded.

Error: could not uncompress multikext plist file from archive entry 0.

Here's my setup:

The problem is that i can't install mac os x on my computer with rebel efi or empire efi :so how can I install it?

From what I see (looking at your configuration) you should be able to install snow leo.

(At least I was able, with a config similar to yours). I use package from here (www.leohazard.com).

(In install options you must select GraphicsEnabler).

You should be able to install, than look for graphics solution (probably here netkas.org, see post about 10.6.2 snow leo). You will need boot file from there and manually add your video card id (device ID) to ATI4500Controller.kext. This should work for your card.

About network - I do not know yet (I have the same Marvel Yukon 88E8057 and haven't found solution yet).

Oh, and if you get kernel panic just after boot (use -v option to boot and see what it is), if it is AppleTyMCEDriver.kext just delete it (you should be able to boot in safe mode -x boot key).
